Suitable for the fourth quarter of the 18th century, this round eared cap style works well for a number of impressions from middling to upper class depending on materials used. This is a very flattering cap for most women. This cap is based on a painting by Edward Penny. The Profligate Punished by Neglect dated 1774. It is in the Yale Center for British Art, accession # B1981.
